Can I add a 21st century look to my 20th century home without “breaking the bank”? As the administrator for Greg Garber Hardwood Floors I am often asked this question in one form or another. Adding new hardwood flooring to a room in your home that doesn’t already have hardwood flooring is a sure fire way to not only make the room look newer (that’s without changing anything else) but it will increase the value of your home. Let me show you how we were able to do just this for one of our clients:
Earlier this month Greg posted a Blog, “Custom Flooring the Old Fashion Way” showing just how we removed the tile flooring in our clients dining room and installed a custom solid red oak herringbone pattern right next to the living room which already had hardwood. While this hardwood floor was in good condition it was a different pattern and stain.
Our clients in Mar Vista were so happy with the finished dining room floor they had us go ahead and refinish the old existing living room floor to match.
The floors now are the exact same stain color and it looks as if it was planned to have the floors in each room a different pattern. YOU DECIDE!!
